Ben is the Chief Executive Officer and a Partner at Triangle, which he joined in 2023. He leads the company’s overall strategy and operations, with a focus on expanding Triangle’s team, reach, and development capabilities across Central Virginia.

After graduating from Wake Forest University, Ben began his career in finance with Merrill Lynch and Jefferies & Company before spending three years in planning and product management at The North Face. After earning his MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, he spent eight years at LanzaTech in Chicago, a global leader in converting waste carbon into fuels and chemicals. As Vice President of Corporate Development there, he led capital raising, investor relations, and financial planning.

In 2020, Ben moved to Charlottesville with his family to become CFO and COO of Diamondback Tool Co. While raising capital for the business, he got to know Triangle’s partners, and that relationship ultimately brought him to the firm. Since joining, he has helped grow the team and expand Triangle’s development capabilities, while carrying forward the company’s long-term, community-focused approach.

Outside of Triangle, Ben co-owns Take It Away Sandwich Shop with a college friend. He is a father of three, coaches his son’s lacrosse team, and has run the New York City Marathon.
